Review my Outlook calendar for the last 4 weeks. Ignore cancelled, declined, all-day and out-of-office entries.
Classify each meeting using the LMAO model below. Base it on what I was most likely DOING in the meeting, not on the meeting title. Use the agenda, attendees, whether I organised it, and whether it recurs.
L = Leading (people and future): developing strategy, communicating vision or direction to my team, developing people, coaching and supporting.
M = Managing (process and day to day): coordinating and integrating resources, executing plans, prioritising and controlling activities, solving problems.
A = Administrating: measuring, tracking and reporting, checking and auditing, authorising or approving.
O = Operating (hands-on work): doing the technical or task work myself.
Give me a table with these columns: Date | Meeting | Hours | Organiser (me / other) | LMAO | Confidence (high / low) | Reason (one line).
Where confidence is low, do not guess. Instead write one short question I should answer, for example “Were you deciding direction here, or fixing an issue?”
Then total the hours and the percentage for L, M, A and O, counting only high-confidence items. List the low-confidence items separately so I can classify them myself.
Finally, give me 3 to 5 short observations on what the findings suggest about how I spend my time, such as patterns in recurring meetings, what is pulling me down a level, fragmentation from short meetings, and what might be missing from my calendar altogether.
